Marana Real Estate

Marana is a growing town located northwest of Tucson in Pima County, Arizona. The Town incorporated in 1977, and in 2005 the Census Bureau estimated the population at 26,098. Marana was the fourth fastest-growing place among all cities and towns in Arizona of any size from 1990 to 2000.

Marana has a rural character and a rich history of farming and ranching. Business have been attracted to the town because of its well-managed growth. The Tucson Mountains and the western half of Saguaro National Park are located to the west. Southern Marana has grown over the past few years with the addition of businesses and housing. It is located just an hour south of Phoenix, AZ.

Marana also hosted the PGA TOUR's Accenture Match Play Championship in February 2007, an event that included 64 of the world's best professional golfers. The tournament is one of the golf world's most prestigious and will remain in Marana through at least 2010.
